LEADERSHIP DUBLIN COMMUNITY SERVICE DAY
An annual gift to the community
The goal of Leadership Dublin Community Service Day is to bring together individual volunteers and groups of volunteers--persons of all ages--to help senior citizens, area schools, churches and non-profit organizations with projects around their homes or property. The types of projects typical of this huge effort by hundreds of volunteers include:
- Clean up/yard work at a senior citizen’s home. Some area residents are unable or need a helping hand with spring yard work.
- Landscaping work at schools. Most people are unaware that trimming bushes, planting, caring for mulch beds and landscape upkeep are not paid for by the school district and our taxes. The PTO’s and parent volunteers are responsible for this. Many schools need a helping hand in the spring with outdoor clean up.
- Grounds work at area churches and non-profit organizations.
- Clean up at neighborhood parks
